Cut The Rope Experiments V1.0 Iphone ipad IOS (Download)
Cut the Rope: Experiments comes to iOS, brings new gimmicks
Cut the Rope is one of the bigger hits on the iOS platform; the physics-based puzzler has found great success teaching players how to slice through ropes and navigate obstacles in order to deliver a piece of candy to a hungry monster. The latest entry in the series is called Cut the Rope: Experiments, and it's a wonderful time. It's also over much too soon, and only two of the three sections offer anything new to veteran players.
Go ahead and watch the trailer if you're curious about how the game plays, but I'm guessing many of you are already fans. The first section of levels in the game gets you up to speed with the concepts and tricks of the original release. The other two sections add gimmicks to the gameplay that allow you to shoot ropes at the candy to help guide it where it needs to go, or to move the candy by manipulating a series of suction cups.
Both additions are clever and lead to some great puzzles, but with only 75 levels to play through, you can see all the content in a leisurely few hours.
Still, it's hard to criticize a game that's this much fun and only costs a dollar ($1.99 for the "HD" iPad version). It's true that you may not feel particularly challenged by most of the puzzles, but each one remains enjoyable and sometimes tricky; you'll certainly get more enjoyment out of this game than you would have from a soda that costs the same price. Plus, Cut the Rope games are supported with extra, free content down the road, and the game promises more puzzles are coming soon.
